1. Expression of Interest Letter to Opposition Leader, Hon. Belden Namah to receive petition on behalf of social media and its coalition partners to table on the floor of Parliament.
19th November 2013
Hon. Belden Namah, MP
Office of the Leader of the Opposition
Our Dear Opposition Leader,
RE: PETITION TO THE PRIME MINISTER
We the leaders on social media forums and our coalition partners namely; PNG NEWS, PNG Anti-Corruption Movement for Change, Melanesian Solidarity, People Power Movement, Millennium Good Governance, NGOs and Civil Society Movement and National Awareness Front including NCD Informal Sector Youth present our petition to Prime Minister Peter O’Neill to relinquish the Police Ministry portfolio on Wednesday 13th November 2013 that was suppressed through Police intervention and intimidation that led to a ‘stop work’ peaceful protest again, sabotaged by the Police on Monday 18th November 2013.
Please find attached copies of our petition to Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and its intent – ask the PM to relinquish the Police Ministry, he himself compromised as the Acting Police Minister to sabotage our peaceful intentions.
We have decided to move on with our next course of action, which is to promote a nationwide aggressive awareness campaign that will demand the resignation of PM Peter O’Neill with a list of bad decisions made during his tenure in government if the Prime Minister fails to fails to comply with our petition.
We thank you for your fearless effort in exposing corruption in this country at the highest level as it represents the interests of the people in this country.
May our good Lord continue to bless you and your good works.
