PETROMIN “FAVORED” GEORGE GUSI ARRESTED AND CHARGED OVER RAPE CHARGES

At about 6pm Wednesday 4th of June 2014, Petromin Holdings owned and operated Tolukuma Gold Mine Yulai LandOwner Association Chairman Mr. George Gusi was formally arrested, charged and locked up at Boroko police station over alleged abduction and rape charges. Mr. Gusi was refused bail.

It has been alleged that Mr Gusi abducted and raped a young lady at Tolukuma Gold mine in December 2013 and has been on the run mainly due to insufficient evidence.

The accused - Yulai Landowners Association Chairman
The accused – Yulai Landowners Association Chairman

Last night he was interviewed by the Sexual Office Detectives and charged laid against him. According to sources, Mr Gusi is also been charged for fraud and misappropriation of Landowner funds.

This morning Mr Gusi and his lawyer fronted up at the court house to fight this charges, and at the same time request for bail. If request for bail application is successful, Mr. Gusi will stay out and fight the charges laid against him. However if unsuccessful, he is expected to be in locked up in Bomana while he fights these charges.

[As this was going to print, news came through Mr. Gusi bail request is successful and he is out on bail now]

Mr. Gusi has been occupying the Petromin owned and operated Tolukuma Gold Mine Yulai LandOwner Association chairman for the last two terms, even after he was ousted by a majority vote during the last July 2012 General election. [15th July 2013, Epi Koga – 187, GG – 1]

Mr Epi Koga was elected by a landslide majority vote [187 voted for Epi Koga, while only one voted for George Gusi] but for some mysteriously unknown reason Petromin Holdings Limited decided to recognize Mr Gusi, the currently accused, as the legitimate Chairman leaving out Mr. Epi Koga in the dark.

Why is Petromin Holdings Limited not recognizing Epi Koga as the duly elected people’s choice to the YLA Chairman seat is something Petromin Holdings Ltd has time and again failed to admit and tell the people of Goilala since July 2012.

Is Petromin Holding Limited’s behavior an indication that Mr Epi Koga does not corporate with them? Is Mr. Epi Koga a threat to their chances of survival in as far as Tolukuma Gold Mines operations is concern?

Is there something rotten and fishy that Petromin does not want the outside world to know? Is Epi Koga some kind of a link between the good, the bad, and the ugly?

The Gold Petromin is extracting belongs to the people of YULAI and if the people of YULAI have elected Mr Epi Koga to be their legitimate chairman, why isn’t Petromin abiding by that decision?

Petromin Holdings Limited has repeatedly kept a lid on the facts about Tolukuma and their operations in Tolukuma time and again.

Whatever that is been published about Tolukuma Gold Mine is nothing but pure bullshits.

The issues raised on this blog on this post

https://goilala.wordpress.com/2014/04/16/the-pulse-of-goilala-how-will-the-current-government-address-the-declining-heart-beat-of-our-district/

Has not been refuted nor corrected or proven incorrect by anyone from Petromin Holdings or Tolukuma Gold Mines for this matter.

And now with the arresting and charging of Petromin Holding favored Mr George Gusi, does that brings up the issue of Petromin harboring and favoring an individual with such a background?

Mr George Gusi will fight this charged and defend himself vigorously no doubt and if he is successful clear his name.

However the fact of the matter remains that why isn’t Petromin Holdings Limited dealing with the people Choice instead they are leading with their own choice, so it seems.

  1. Mipla ol Goilala mas lonlon blo Petromin na ol wok lo paulim yumi stap. Na George and co, please, it seems money has blinded you to an extent were your common sense does not seem to exist no more.

    People of Yulai?
I guess you are asking for such a treatment from Petromin. Because if you weren’t happy, you would have revolted long time ago.

  2. This is just how corruption is portrayed at the management level.. clearly abuse of Power …i knew something was wrong when i heard complains but nothing being done.. it clealy shows that the chairman is directly benefiting from Petromin to keep quite over matters faced by locals and even TGM workers ..

As for the Chairman i think he deserves to be locked up ..sad he was allowed bailed.

  3. Petromin probly paid for George Gusi’s legal council….. With funds from the mine! PM O’niell inherited Petromin from Somare days… As busy as he is, time has come to fix this mess. We wait for Kumul Holdings to replace the ghosts of Joshua Kalione

  4. YOU HAVE SOMETHING IN MIND FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE WHOLE OF GOILALA PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY TOLUKUMA LANDOWNERS. PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO COME, THE YULAI LANDOWNERS OFFICE IS VERY PLEASED TO ABSORBED WHATEVER SMART IDEAS YOU HAVE BEHIND YOUR HEAD.

IT WILL BE MUCH NICER TO WORK TOGETHER RATHER THAN TALKING A LOT AND CRYING OVER A “SPILLED MILK” I THOUGHT.. THAT IS WHY THERE IS ALWAYS A SAYING,” NO MAN IS AN ISLAND”. SO COME IN CAUSE THE YULAI LANDOWNERS ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO A NEW ERA, WITH THE NEW REVISED MOA UNDERTAKINGS THAT WILL CHANGE ALL THEIR LIVES.

NO MAN HAS THOUGHT FOR THESE VERY LANDOWNERS FOR MORE 18 YEARS OF MINING. NOR EITHER THE PROVINCIAL GOVT OR THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENT WITHIN THE WOITAPE LLG COMMUNITY. NIL GOVERNMENT SERVICES TO MY PEOPLE.

BUT AS THE MATTER OF FACT THAT THIS VERY MINE HAS GREAT IMPACT TO THE WHOLE OF THE GOILALA PEOPLE. NOW YOU WILL NOTICE THAT ABOUT 90% OF CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES IN THE MAIN CITY, PORT MORESBY HAS DROP. EVERYONE WAS TIED UP WITH THE TOLUKUMA GOLD MINING COMPANY ISSUES.

SO MY PEOPLE NOW IS DESPERATE FOR ROAD SERVICE FROM TOLUKUMA TO PORT MORESBY CITY, AND IF ANY ONE THINKS CAN BREAK THE BARRIER TO PUSH THIS ROAD. YOU’RE MOST NEEDED IN THE YULAI COMMUNITY. ON THE NOTE THAT MY YULAI PEOPLE ARE TAKING GOOD CARE OF ALL GOILALA WANTOKS RESIDING IN ML104 (MINING LEASE AREA), WHO ARE EMPLOYED OR UNDER INFORMAL SECTOR.

AND THEY ALL NEED SERVICES, LIKE THE ROAD LINK TO POM. BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN RELYING SO MUCH ON TOLUKUMA MINE SERVICES ONLY FOR 18 YEARS. NOTHING YET FROM THE GOVERNMENT OR OTHER PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS’

  5. IMBAD MANAI or rather CUSCUS MANAI…

Am not sure where you seem to get your comment from, however I can only conclude that these comments aren’t coming from your head.

90% crime rate drop in POM? What a load of crap. Where are you getting your data from? So now you implying that all the crime in Pom is solely the fault of Goilalas? Damn! chicko wake the fuck up.

And nothing in your comment here makes any sense at all.

Whoever you are, you claiming YULAI LO Office is open for anyone willing to help? Thats news to me.

How about I tell you, I have been checking, asking and following up on my appointment with MR GEORGE GUSI to talk to him and get his side of the story and have it published here with absolutely zero corporation.

And you saying Petromin and TGM have had an impact in the lives of Goilala people? Mate, can you give me classic examples of that “impacts” you referring to?

No Man is an Island you say, how about did you listened or even sought out and sources help from GOILALAs very own educated elite? Mining experts, communication experts, lawyers, medical professionals, IT Techs, teachers, nurses, drivers, mechanics and so on a so fort?

If you want to expose your availability, talk to me, I will have your contact information spelt out on all available mediums so people can contact. Did you do that?

    And SPILT MILK?

What the fuck is spilt milk? If you are man enough, expose yourself and lets talk this over rather than using a cuscus man fake ID.

[Well, actually am the admin, i will trace you down with your IP address – LOL]

  6. IMBAD MANAI…

If you not so sure of how crucial Petromin’s operations at TGM is in regards to Goilala District and her people, let me brief you in summary.

There are 13+ Exploration Licenses in Central Province. And out of these 13+, about 7 of them are located across the rugged and mountainous terrains of Goilala.

And whichever operator operating TGM has the sole legal rights and ownership of these 7 ELs. When they eventually go into these ELs, they then get a ML to then mine the Gold from that EL.

So the incompetence and unprofessional, destructive, non performing attriutes alluded to Petromin with their track record of the recent past, who on earth would want to allow this corruption ridden company to ever mine the Gold from the other ELs yet to be explored and gold mined?

Its good Petromin Holdings Limited has rapped TGM to the core now and will be evacuating soon.

Once that’s done, “GOD HAVE MERCY ON YOUR SURVIVAL” there after.

  7. Maybe the real issue here is that there is no gold, well at least not enough to be economical in sustaining a project such as Tolukuma.

And maybe Petromin knows this and are trying to buy time, for prospects outside ML104.Its evident and has been for over the last decade that the cost doubles in producing 1 ounce of gold at Tolukuma.

Petromins goal I believe is to not spend more then what they already have, in acquiring the mine at the first place. The interest in Petromins investment are probably for the adjacent exploration Licenses. ??? Who knows..Tolukuma maybe was the burden that came along with the deal.

I’m sure as any entity will do, is try to tighten the purse especially at a time when gold prices are not looking so good.

I’m sure the problem here is bigger then what meets the eye..

The goal should be: “Hold the adjacent block and wait till prices pick up, Turn ML104 into base camp and restructure the Mill for high efficient recovery and sulphur handling ,… Build a Road to POM for goodness sake…”.. Good luck ,

    1. SOMEONE…
You make real sense to me now.
At the end of the day, if you take into account whats really happening at TGM right now, it does not look so favorable.

Word from the mine says Petromin has promoted a couple of Locals to FOREMAN positions especially in the UG department.

These locals, with due respect lack tertiary education qualification. Can you safely now say Petromin is serious about Gold production and upskilling of the local work force?

Am thinking Gold is there at TGM but the competency and the level of professionalism at the management level is leading to results way below acceptable standard.

  8. Antony Morant…..I Mr. George Gusi the current chairman of Yulai Landowners Association has acknowledged all your comments for being a back bench-er and politics of Yulai and Goilala District at large.. I think you have the heart for that issue and if you are willing.

there is one thing that I must advice of as a childish who cry over spill and no intention to fix things..But crying over issues in air.

Mr Epi Koga do not abide by the constitution of the Yulai Landowners Association, Our Yulai Landowner constitution stipulate that the the chairman must come from patrinal society, and not the matrinal society. Epi Koga is not eligible to take the seat I’m sorry to say, and hes not elected constitutionally and also he is not recognized by the developer, the state, the goilala, and yulai principal landowner community at large.

He is not elected, but claiming to be elected, I must say. So I must declare him as unconstitutional chairman. who is crying for split milk.

I did not know the matter regarding rape charges on me. There’s being the a big mistake on my comment in the air. Who authorize you to comment the Landowners chairman, the petromin holdings, and the Goilala MP. My friend now I know you have motives behind politics.

You will face the consequences for deformation of character I must tell you baby sense crying over spill milk. Don’t you think smart.

I’m at you door step. expert me baby

  9. Thank You My Brother GEORGE GUSI.

Recall our exchanges of txt messages on Saturday 14th June 2014? And also the previous text message I sent to you to make an appointment and get your side of the story out.

Did you make an attempt to call me? Or Allow me to talk to you?

I have no political ambition. My main aim as an IT dude is to get Goilala on World Wide Web – Internet.

And have any issues, developments, happenings, current affairs reported here on my blog.

While there, please bare in mind that this is MY BLOG. My own. I own it. What I say here is my own opinion.

So if you refute them, please create a blog for yourself and refute as per you wish.

Rape Charges story too. I tried to get your story and have your side of the story up. But you choose to ignore me.

    So whose fault is it?

You know me personally. I know you personally. But it seems talking to me as a brother has gone sour.

    EXPERT you baby?

Is that the correct term used in the correct sentence?

Brother, George, this is a public domain. Get your spelling and dictation, with grammar worked on and polished up before you come exposing your incompetence.

Lastly, I am not a politician. I will never be a politician. But I am an IT dude, and will remain an IT dude.

I am looking forward to the day you say you will meet me.

    1. I’m not your brother. Get your grammar correct either.

you did not understood me as a leader for Goilala tribes men, who looks after all the affairs and issues of the Goilalans and their project.. You have destroyed my reputation with out proper facts, damn you…

Tolukuma Gold Mine is located in the Yulai Land. Have you know that I originated from Yulai Tribe? Yulai is not your puppet IT dude, don’t under estimate Yulai, thinking that Yulai is a puppet. Yulai I know is the heart to you all Goilalans, to the central province, and to the nation.

Tolukuma Gold Mine project has play an impact in the economic of the country, apart from Govt business like the PNG Power, Air Niugini, etc.. The national Govt 100% own company Petromin Holdings Limited have the heart for Tolukuma Gold Mines, which the nationally owned company will not sell the project. Since its the first mining project to the national govt,

Thanks for all our comments, but expect me, Goilala MP, and CEO Petromin Holdings Ltd anytime at your door step. Make sure prepare for deformation of character in the air with your counter parts under investigation now at Tolukuma Mine site.

      You will be monitored…

      1. Mr Chairman.
Pardon my ignorance on not addressing you as per your title.

TGM is wholly PNG Government owned entity, which Petromin Holding Limited owns and manages. That is a fact everyone knows.

Whatever Petromin Holdings has done to PNG via its subsidiary company Petromin Holding Limited is not the point in focus.

What has Petromin Holdings Limited done for YULAI LOs which you are the Chairman and Goilala District and its people?

That is the issue on hand and needs to be addressed.

        Defamation charges.
Mr Chairman, the rape story on this blog came from sources, my blogging here is what I receive.

For me to comment on an issue that is a police matter will imply am charging your guilt or innocence otherwise.

What am doing here on this blog is reporting what am been told based on my sources.

I expect you to front at my end. As I have said all alone, I look forward to this day.

  10. LIKE I’VE SAID… this is not the only problem in Goilala. PNG LNG Project Landowners facing the same Problem, Hela Have nothing to celebrate comparing to the K10m given every year…think of a simple district that would have been developed by using the K10 million..

By the Way, these are the mistakes from the NA Led Government where everything were bulldozed in favor the companies and LEANING the people to surfer…

PLEASE GOILALAS, RAISE UP AND FIGHTS FOR YOUR RIGHTS, OTHERWISE, ONE DAY WE WILL CUT OFF FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD DUE TO BAD ROAD CONDITIONS, NO CLINICS AND SCHOOLS.. BECAUSE WHEN THE MINING FINISH, EVERY THING WILL FINISH, AND WE WILL LIVE WITH NOTHING

    kaikai blo tintin tzol…
