At about 6pm Wednesday 4th of June 2014, Petromin Holdings owned and operated Tolukuma Gold Mine Yulai LandOwner Association Chairman Mr. George Gusi was formally arrested, charged and locked up at Boroko police station over alleged abduction and rape charges. Mr. Gusi was refused bail.
It has been alleged that Mr Gusi abducted and raped a young lady at Tolukuma Gold mine in December 2013 and has been on the run mainly due to insufficient evidence.
Last night he was interviewed by the Sexual Office Detectives and charged laid against him. According to sources, Mr Gusi is also been charged for fraud and misappropriation of Landowner funds.
This morning Mr Gusi and his lawyer fronted up at the court house to fight this charges, and at the same time request for bail. If request for bail application is successful, Mr. Gusi will stay out and fight the charges laid against him. However if unsuccessful, he is expected to be in locked up in Bomana while he fights these charges.
[As this was going to print, news came through Mr. Gusi bail request is successful and he is out on bail now]
Mr. Gusi has been occupying the Petromin owned and operated Tolukuma Gold Mine Yulai LandOwner Association chairman for the last two terms, even after he was ousted by a majority vote during the last July 2012 General election. [15th July 2013, Epi Koga – 187, GG – 1]
Mr Epi Koga was elected by a landslide majority vote [187 voted for Epi Koga, while only one voted for George Gusi] but for some mysteriously unknown reason Petromin Holdings Limited decided to recognize Mr Gusi, the currently accused, as the legitimate Chairman leaving out Mr. Epi Koga in the dark.
Why is Petromin Holdings Limited not recognizing Epi Koga as the duly elected people’s choice to the YLA Chairman seat is something Petromin Holdings Ltd has time and again failed to admit and tell the people of Goilala since July 2012.
Is Petromin Holding Limited’s behavior an indication that Mr Epi Koga does not corporate with them? Is Mr. Epi Koga a threat to their chances of survival in as far as Tolukuma Gold Mines operations is concern?
Is there something rotten and fishy that Petromin does not want the outside world to know? Is Epi Koga some kind of a link between the good, the bad, and the ugly?
The Gold Petromin is extracting belongs to the people of YULAI and if the people of YULAI have elected Mr Epi Koga to be their legitimate chairman, why isn’t Petromin abiding by that decision?
Petromin Holdings Limited has repeatedly kept a lid on the facts about Tolukuma and their operations in Tolukuma time and again.
Whatever that is been published about Tolukuma Gold Mine is nothing but pure bullshits.
The issues raised on this blog on this post
Has not been refuted nor corrected or proven incorrect by anyone from Petromin Holdings or Tolukuma Gold Mines for this matter.
And now with the arresting and charging of Petromin Holding favored Mr George Gusi, does that brings up the issue of Petromin harboring and favoring an individual with such a background?
Mr George Gusi will fight this charged and defend himself vigorously no doubt and if he is successful clear his name.
However the fact of the matter remains that why isn’t Petromin Holdings Limited dealing with the people Choice instead they are leading with their own choice, so it seems.
