DROUGHT HITS LOLOIPA in TAPINI LLG.
The magnitude of this drought has discriminated no one in its path. And this morning, Joseph Pota – a local and a teacher in Loloipa Community School reported this morning that general school operations and administration has been down scaled to withstand the effect of the drought.
Students have been told to stay away from school. The cause of this was hunger.
Most of the students came to school hungry and some fainted during classes. Hence for safety reasons, they have been told to stay home.
Dry spell has killed off all food gardens and burned out food crops. Creeks and rivers has dropped in levels and people are starving too death.
Most people are moving away from their homes to other villages who are less affected or has food gardens.
But the sad scenario is what will happen after this gardens run out of produce?
My sources in Tapini reported to have seen Tapini LLG President – Honorable Keleto Kope – busy with running his trade store and not moving a fly about this dire situation the people are facing.
Is this responsible leadership trait?
