WE HAVE A NEW DISTRICT ADMINISTRATOR – WELCOME Mr GIRAU.
The new District Administrator for Goilala District is Titus Girau. Qualifications: Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Public Administrations and Degree in Public Administration.
Mr Girau is not new to the position of the District Administrator. He served under the Mathew Poia regime from February 2009 to May 2013.
Prior to the DA post, he served his prime days with PNG Power from 21st March 1984 through to August 2009. While in PNG Power, he rose to Assistant System Controller position and was placed in charge of Load shedding and Water rationing throughout Port Moresby city.
Mr Girau left PNG Power to Central Provincial Government as a First Secretary to then Governor Alphonse Moroi from 9th August 2002 for a short while.
He left First Secretary to Governor position to the Central Province Transport Authority from 2003 through to 2009.
From 2009 through to 2013 he served as the District Administrator for Goilala under the reign of Mathew Poia, only to be removed due to “allegations” which he later cleared in the courts.
From May 2013 to May 2015, Mr Girau served as a Advisor to Central Province Village Courts and resigned around May 2015 to contest the recently held By Elections due to untimely departure of our late MP Daniel K Mona.
Lets hope Mr Girau brings to the table what Goilala needs to help Member Samb to steer Goilala forward.
Congratulations Mr Titus Girau – for and on behalf of (GDDF members) and social media loud mouths aka critics
