Time and again we the people of Goilala has blamed our politicians as the sole culprits behind the decay and breakdown of basic services in our District.
To a certain, extent we are correct with this notion.
Politicians are the people who are supposed to be leading from the front line.
Ensuring they come up with the correct practical policy framework to be implemented in Goilala over a 5-year term.
But then again who will implement this “correct practical policy” penciled by the Member District-wide?
There is no magical answer to this. The people who will drive implementation of this policy are the public servants.
The public servants include mainly the District Administration Team.
|District Administrator | District Planner | District Treasurer | All the support staff of these individuals such as LLG ManagersX3, LLG Project Officers, District Clerk, District Accountant|
All these District Administration staff report to the District Administrator, who is now known as CEO. Who is Titus Girau.
One thing we need and must ensure to understand is, the District Administrator Mr.Titus Girau does not report to the MP for Goilala.
He reports to Provincial Administrator Mr Gei Raga.
So as it is seen here, we the people can vote politicians in after every 5 years. The real people driving the change agenda in Goilala are the District Administration staff.
And if one looks at what we got in Goilala District, the same people have served under various politicians.
If we are to witness some real change in Goilala, the right place to be monitoring is the District Administration staff.
Our District Administration team needs to be proactive and very much responsive and very professional in order to see service delivery in Goilala work.
If they are lazy, corrupt, unprofessional, incompetent and always taking 10% commissions before doing the job, then Goilala will not move forward.
